The TiE Atlanta Growth and Impact awards recognize high-growth company founders and the mentors that impact their growth.

TiECON 2022 - CommerceCon will focus on the services and technologies that make commerce successful. There will be four content tracks: FinTech & Payments, Supply Chain & Logistics, Real Estate, and E-Commerce. Each track will feature expert keynote speakers.

Growth Entrepreneur of The Year Award

TiE Atlanta will recognize entrepreneurs from its three programs: TiE Atlanta Angels, TiE Atlanta Access, and COBA. The awards committee will collect the most up-to-date information from the entrepreneur on revenue and non-revenue growth metrics. We will also interview to understand the journey of the entrepreneur and the decisions that ensured their company’s success. Additional information that will be provided for the final ranking,

• The history of the company and significant achievement.
• Impact milestone they would like to highlight.
• Competitive points of differentiation.
• Vision or plan for the future growth.

Impact Mentor Of The Year Award

TiE Atlanta organization is a mentorship-driven organization and will recognize mentors that give back to TiE programs and those of TiE Atlanta affiliate organizations.  For the first time, TiE will spotlight mentors in the Atlanta community who give back to ensure that the companies that are building in Atlanta are successful. The awards committee will evaluate how the mentor helps their mentees and conduct an interview to highlight their mentorship story. Additional information will be provided for the final ranking.

Timeline

  • June 15 – Nominations Open
  • July 15 – Nominations Close
  • Aug. 1 – Award Finalists will be Announced
  • Sept. 30 – Award Ceremony & Reception at TiECON

Qualify

To qualify, nominees should have the following criteria:

  • Founders must be a program portfolio company for TiE Atlanta (i.e. TIE Atlanta Angels, TiE Atlanta ACCESS, TiE Atlanta University, and COBA)
  • Mentors must be affiliated with TiE Atlanta and affiliate programming
  • Willing to provide information via the application and participate in an interview.

The Process

An virtual interview will be scheduled between Atlanta CPA Alliance and the nominee. The interview will evaluate the company’s growth, profitability and sustainability. Additionally, it will allow the team to gain insight into strategies for success, management style, innovation and culture. These play into overall evaluation and ranking.

Nominees will receive confirmations to schedule interview upon application completion. The application process requests basic company contact and revenue information, which remains confidential and available only to TiE Growth & Impact Awards Program Partner, Atlanta CPA Alliance.
